Writer at workI don't have an office, or a desk. I write wherever I land-the rocker, the couch. Or sometimes I'm not landed at all but standing at the kitchen counter jotting down a phrase.

Here, our seven-year-old caught me writing in the rocking chair.

Writing is the best that way-you can buy a notebook super cheap and take it anywhere. It'd be nice of course to have a writing room or--imagine--a studio. But if I waited till I had the perfect spot in which to write, I'd not get a thing written down. So I write wherever I can.
